HAWAII IMMUNIZATION COALITION
The Hawaii Immunization Coalition (HIC) is a state-wide, community-based non-profit 501(c)3 coalition of public and private organizations and concerned individuals, whose mission is to promote effective strategies to ensure that all of Hawaii’s families are appropriately vaccinated against vaccine-preventable diseases. Focus: Immunizations across the lifespan.
DEPARTMENT OF TROPICAL MEDICINE, MEDICAL MICROBIOLOGY & PHARMACOLOGY
The Department of Tropical Medicine, Medical Microbiology & Pharmacology is an academic department in the John A Burns School of Medicine at the University of Hawaii at Manoa. The department offers instruction and conducts research in the areas of pathogenesis, immunology, molecular genetics and genomics, and drug and vaccine development for tropical and emerging infectious diseases including malaria, zika, dengue, West Nile Virus and HIV/AIDS.
